Alice Fredenham out of Britain’s Got Talent

Tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent live semi-final saw one of the series top contenders Alice Fredenham eliminated from the show after failing to even make the top three.

The singer who was clearly one of Simon Cowell’s favorites was unable to impress the British public in the same way with her rendition of Cry Me a River.

Ironically it was probably her constant tears after the performance that put the viewers off her. Despite receiving very positive and generous comments from all of the judges, Fredenham still came across as feeling rather sorry for herself.

She admitted to having not sung the song as well as she had in rehearsals and perhaps realized she’d blown her chances of winning BGT. However the results suggest that neither her performance or reaction endeared her to the voters at home.

It may not all be over for Alice though as she could still be chosen as the Wild Card act to take part in the live final but she would still be a huge outsider to win after Tuesdays showing.

So was Alice’s original BGT audition a fluke? Did the judges build her up too much? Or did nerves just get the better of her on the live show?

We’ll have to wait and see if Simon listens to the public or sticks by his opinion and continues to back Alice. Lets face it, knowing Simon Cowell it’s far more likely to be the later.
