Where is Tumble filmed for BBC? – Series Film Locations

Where is BBC One’s gymnastics series Tumble broadcast from?

The filming location chosen for BBC One’s new Saturday night reality show Tumble, is George Lucas Stage 1 at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, England.

According to BBC Studios and Post Production, the location was chosen as the ideal space to accommodate Tumble’s large scale production requirements. The 15,200 square foot studio easily houses the diverse range of gymnastic routines to be featured in the show, including trampolines, vaults, balance beams and aerial gymnastic challenges such as trapeze.

Other television shows shot in and around Elstree include Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice UK, The Singer Takes It All and EastEnders.

Featuring 10 celebrity/professional gymnastic couples teaming up to attempt some show-stopping routines, Tumble begins airing live at 6:30pm on Saturday, 9 August, 2014 on BBC1.

Presented by Alex Jones, the competition will feature such celebs as H from Steps, Sarah Harding, Carl Froch, Peter Duncan, Bobby Lockwood, Andrea McLean, Amelle Berrabah, Lucy Mecklenburgh, John Partridge and Emma Samms competing for your votes over a six week period.

The four Tumble judges will be Craig Heap, Sebastien Stella, Louis Smith and head judge Nadia Comaneci.
