ITV have today officially announced the start date and time for series 8 of Britain’s Got Talent, with the show returning to TV screens at 7:15pm on Saturday the 12th of April, 2014.
Judges Amanda Holden, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell are all back for another year, along with presenters Ant & Dec.
‘Catchphrase’ host Stephen Mulhern will again be fronting ITV2’s companion show ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’, bringing viewers more behind the scenes gossip and unseen performances.
Keep a look out in this years audition rounds for the all-new ‘Golden Buzzer’ which each judge get’s to use just one time to automatically guarantee an act a place in the live semi-finals. This is of course not to be in any way confused with The Voice’s ‘Fast Pass’ system, obviously.

In their search for this or any other countries next undiscovered star, this seasons BGT auditions traveled to Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, London’s Hammersmith Apollo, Birmingham’s International Convention Centre, Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre and The Lowry in Manchester.
