David Tennant recently starred in an American remake of Broadchurch called Gracepoint. Broadcasting on Fox, the series sees the Doctor Who actor star alongside Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn. Despite clearly having a strong cast, plus the same writer and director as the original, Gracepoint has gone down no where near as well as its UK counterpart. Many viewers have put the Fox shows lack of success down to a questionable US accent on Tennant’s part. With all this in mind, there was still talk in the Mirror of ITV airing Gracepoint in the UK.

When will Broadchurch season 2 start in 2015?

ITV have now released a number of very brief trailers for the new series of their award-winning crime drama. Currently running on ITV, these teaser ads reveal the second series of Broadchurch will premiere sometime in January 2015.

UPDATE: The Broadchurch series 2 air date and time has now been officially set for Monday 5 January 2015 at 9:00pm on ITV. The number of episodes in the new series has also been confirmed as 8.
