Plot

Set in the offices, workshop and showroom of used car sales company JS Motors, each of the shows six episodes focuses on a different colleague or friend of the business. Featuring a mix of drama, tragedy, humour and warmth, the series demonstrates how a desperate, or even simple spur-of-the-moment lie, can quickly spiral out of control and begin to unravel.

Where was Ordinary Lies filmed?

According to the Warrington Guardian, Ordinary Lies filming locations included Warrington Collegiate, The Orford Hotel and the Church of the Ascension in Woolston. The main car sales centre scenes were shot at the John Stuart Motor Company which is situated in Orford Lane, Warrington. You can view this location below using Google Street View.

As reported by Hello Magazine last October, actress Michelle Keegan was also spotted filming scenes for the series at Manchester airport and later in the high-street of Manchester city centre. The BBC drama was filmed during the autumn and winter of 2014.
