ITV have just released this extended trailer for their upcoming drama series Cilla, starring actress Sheridan Smith in the shows title role. Oh and by the way, yes that is Sheridan you can hear singing.
Cast
With Aneurin Barnard playing husband Bobby, Ed Stoppard as manager Brian Epstein, John Henshaw as her father John White and Melanie Hill as her mother, this three-part series follows Cilla’s rocky rise to fame while also capturing the essence of 1960’s Liverpool.
Speaking prior to filming earlier this year, Sheridan told ITV: “I am thrilled to be playing Cilla, as she is a British icon. In the 60s, as a young girl from Liverpool, she had numerous number ones and sang with The Beatles, her life story is fascinating.”

ITV have now officially set Cilla’s episode 1 air date and time for Monday 15 September, 2014, at 9:00pm.
