Where is Happy Valley filmed?
Beginning in late 2013, filming for the BBC series took place in locations in the Calder Valley area of Yorkshire, with some scenes also being shot in Huddersfield.
Plot
Catherine Cawood is the police sergeant on duty when flustered and nervous accountant Kevin Weatherill visits her West Yorkshire station to report a crime. Reticent about the details, Kevin then loses his nerve. In fact the crime Kevin was attempting to report is his own plan to kidnap his boss’s daughter and use her for ransom.
Then when local drug king-pin Ashley Cowgill goes ahead and carries out the plan, Kevin’s fantasy quickly becomes a grim and dangerous reality.
