The IKEA UK television advert that was first released in July 2015, features a song called ‘Psychotic Reaction’. Recorded in 1968, this track is performed by American R&B singer Brenton Wood.

This is a cover of US rock band Count Five’s 1965 single, also titled ‘Psychotic Reaction’.

Singer, songwriter and keyboard player Brenton Wood was born on July 26, 1941, in the City of Shreveport, Louisiana and released his most recent album ‘Lord Hear My Prayer’ in 2009.

Where was the advert filmed?

The ad was filmed at the Jaguar Rescue Centre, which is located in Costa Rican jungle. The centre provides a safe environment for multiple animal species including howler and capuchin monkeys.

The IKEA ‘Wonderful Everyday’ ad follows a group of curious monkeys as they come across something extraordinary in the middle of their jungle home.
