After a couple of years away from our screens, Lambing Live finally returns to BBC Two for a brand new series in 2014.

Once again hosted by Kate Humble and Countryfile’s Adam Henson, the live show will begin broadcasting from the Scottish borders at 8:00pm on Tuesday, 25 March. The show will air over four consecutive nights, this time bringing viewers an insight into the lives of the Dykes sheep-farming family.

Prior to the live shows, a special programme titled ‘Lambing Live: Farming Families’ will air at 8:00pm on Sunday, 23 March. Amongst other things, this documentary will be taking a look at how the Beavans in South Wales from series 1 and Marstons in Cumbria from series 2, are getting on in 2014.

Since filming the original series of Lambing Live back in 2010, presenter Kate Humble’s interest and knowledge in the subject has apparently increased dramatically, now boasting her very own flock of sheep.

Outside of the Scottish boarders, Adam will be touring the UK to bring us the latest news from the world of sheep farming. These films will include a look at the latest technologies being employed in Britain from breeding to the science of grass growing.
