What time does the London Marathon start 2014?

The start times for this years Virgin Money London Marathon are as follows:

Wheelchair race start time: 8:55am

Elite women’s start time: 9:15am

Elite men and mass start time: 10:00am

The date the event will be taking place is Sunday, 13 April, 2014

Live BBC TV Coverage

Presented by Jonathan Edwards and with commentary from the team of Steve Cram, Brendan Foster, Paula Radcliffe and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, BBC One will be bringing viewers complete live race coverage. The show starts at 8:30am, running right the way through to 2:30pm.

With Mo Farah looking to win his first marathon, this years race is likely to draw in one of the events biggest ever television audiences. But with our Olympic hero taking on a top-class field that includes world record holder Wilson Kipsang and defending champion Tsegaye Kebede, Mo will be up against some seriously tough competition.

The BBC’s broadcast of the marathon will also include the men’s and women’s wheelchair races, and the women’s elite race.

The streets of London will also be filled with thousands of club and fun runners, all with their own personal story and objective. BBC One’s team of reporters will be located around the 26.2 mile course to bring us some of those remarkable stories and feats of achievement.
