‘The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies’ Cast List – ITV Drama

Plot

Based on a true story, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies is a two-part ITV drama which begins airing at 9:00pm on Wednesday 10 December 2014. The series is set around events in the life of retired school teacher Christopher Jefferies, the once landlord of Joanna Yeates, who was murdered in December of 2010.

Despite having nothing to do with this appalling crime, Jefferies quickly became the victim of a different form of predator, this time with his character and reputation under attack. In one of the worst cases of trial by media seen in this country, this Bristol resident, who happened to be a very active member of his local community, gets painted by the tabloid press as some kind of weird loner. Therefore automatically making him the number one suspect in their eyes for the police’s ongoing investigation.

Starring Jason Watkins in the title role, this ITV drama tells the story of how an innocent man’s world was turned upside down by the British media and its line-up of wannabe detectives.

The second and final episode is scheduled to broadcast the following night on Thursday the 11th of December, at the same time of 9:00pm to 10:30pm.
