MotoGP 2015 TV Coverage Rights: What channels will be showing MotoGP races this season?

MotoGP 2015 UK television rights and coverage news: BT Sport and ITV4.

What TV channels will be showing MotoGP in 2015?

For any racing fans holding out hope of MotoGP returning to the BBC this year, the bad news is BT Sport’s deal to broadcast the motorcycling series is still due to last for four more seasons. Great for BT Broadband customers, for whom the channels come at no extra cost, not so great for everyone else.

With the inevitable fall in British viewing figures the loss of BBC’s coverage has led to, it remains very debatable whether simply awarding the deal to the highest bidder had the sports best interests at heart.

MotoGP Highlights on ITV4

One consolation for non-BT viewers though is the continuing highlights coverage from ITV4. The channel have now confirmed they will again be showing MotoGP in 2015, with their hour-long show generally airing on the Monday’s which follow a race weekend. Highlights of the opening race will be broadcast on ITV4 at 8:00pm on Monday 30 March.

This two-wheel highlights package will be joined by the ITV channels ongoing Formula E programming and their weekly ‘Motorsport UK’ show.

The first race of the new MotoGP season, the Grand Prix of Qatar, is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 29th of March 2015. The final round of the 18-race calendar will see the teams and riders head to Spain for the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana on the 8th of November.
