Peaky Blinders Series 2: BBC Two Release New 2014 Series Trailer

BBC Two have today released this brand-new teaser trailer (below) for series 2 of Peaky Blinders, which begins airing in Autumn 2014.

Returning for another six episodes, the new series see’s the Shelby family expanding their empire both North and South, while continuing to maintain their stronghold in the Birmingham heartland.

Following the shows re-commissioning late last year, creator and writer Steven Knight told the BBC: “I am so pleased we will be able to continue to tell this story of a working class family living through extraordinary times in an extraordinary way. The ‘Peaky Blinders’ will march on to many surprising places and fight astonishing battles as the 1920’s begin to roar.”

Air Date

Though an exact season 2 start date is still yet to be announced, this teaser trailer now confirms the show will be returning sometime this Autumn.

UPDATE: It has now been officially revealed that episode 1 of the new series will premiere at 9:00pm on Thursday 2 October, 2014 on BBC Two.

Lead cast members Sam Neill, Cillian Murphy and Helen McCrory will all be reprising their roles in 2014, with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ actor Tom Hardy also guest starring.

Produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions, Peaky Blinders is an epic gangster drama set on the lawless streets of post-World War One Birmingham.
