X Factor 2013: Sam Bailey singing New York New York in Big Band Week

Tonight’s big band themed episode of the X Factor 2013 saw series favorite Sam Bailey singing New York New York.

In case you missed it or just want to see it again, here’s the full YouTube video of the nation’s favorite prison warden performing this Frank Sinatra classic:

Judges comments:

Following sharply dressed Sam’s performance, Gary Barlow stated “This is ridiculous, somehow week after week, your vocal range seems to get bigger and bigger. That was the highest I’ve heard you sing, in full voice as well. Unbelievable Sam.”

Nicole Scherzinger said “Sam, it’s big band week and you came out with the biggest boom honey.”

Louis Walsh declared “Sam Bailey: Consistent, versatile, amazing. Great song choice Mrs O. . . For me, your the one to beat in the competition.”

Finally her mentor Sharon Osbourne said “Saaam, Sam, that was stunning!”

Call me boring but I’d still rather hear Mrs Bailey singing a good Celine Dion balled, regardless though of what she performs, Sam remains the clear favorite to win the X Factor UK 2013.

If your only knowledge of this X Factor series happened to come from watching Channel 4’s Gogglebox, you’d think the 35 year old was the only contestant on the show. As far as the matter of who will win is concerned, that may as well be the case.
