Video: Sam Bailey singing ‘Something’ on X Factor UK 2013

Saturday nights X Factor saw song choices coming exclusively out of the great British songbook. For this theme, series favorite Sam Bailey decided to sing ‘Something’, originally recorded by The Beatles.

As Sam later stated she had to learn the song for this weeks performance, it’s fair to presume the choice of track wasn’t her own idea. As good as the 36-year-old’s vocals were, you have to think there were some better, more suitable songs Sharon could have picked from this vast list.

If you missed the show or fancy another listen, here’s the official ITV YouTube video:

Judges Comments

Gary Barlow: “Sam, another incredible performance. You know one of the things I love about being on this show is that all week long, all people wanna talk about to me is X Factor, and people love you out there, everybody’s talking about you. . . The reason you’re going to sell records is simply because you are brilliant.”

Nicole Scherzinger: “That was an epic performance, I’m not gonna lie. The vocals are exceptional, there isn’t anything you can’t sing Sam. . . But cheeks, I don’t know if I’d put that song on your album.”

Louis Walsh: “You are a world class vocalist. . . You never let us down.”

Mrs O: “Sam, every week you do yourself proud, you and your family, you are just a diamond to deal with. I adore you and thank you all for your comments. And to everyone at home, please keep voting for Sam, it’s the only way to bring her back next week.”
