X Factor UK 2013 winner Sam Bailey topped off her amazing series with a powerful performance of the winners single, ‘Skyscraper’. The song was originally released by American singer and X Factor USA judge, Demi Lovato.
In what was possibly the 36-year-old’s greatest vocal performance of the entire series, the track had arguably never sounded better.
Here’s the official ITV YouTube Video of Mrs Bailey singing Skyscraper, live at the X Factor Wembley final:
Following this emotional performance, Sam’s mentor Sharon Osbourne was left in tears and unable to comment on her winning contestants tremendous vocals.
Though the series 10 result had rarely seemed in doubt, Sam left nothing to chance during the final weekend, giving faultless renditions of ‘The Edge of Glory’, ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ (duet with Nicole Scherzinger), ‘The Power of Love’ and finally ‘Skyscraper’.
Having taken this years title with a massive one million-plus final weekend public votes, Sam’s winners single instantly becomes favorite for the UK Christmas Number 1 slot.
