This September on BBC One sees the start of brand new three-part crime drama The Driver, and judging by the trailer (below), this ones looking pretty tasty. “How would you like to earn yourself a bit extra?” Are there any better words in the world of TV drama?

This 2014 series stars David Morrissey as taxi driver Vince McKee, who as a result of frustration with both his professional and personal life, makes a terrible error of judgement.

With money tight and the world of mini-cabbing remaining far from glamorous, Vince reluctantly takes on some additional driving work. But with shady character ‘The Horse’ as his boss and the job description light on details, McKee soon finds himself in over his head.
