In episode 5 of the BBC series, Porthos wakes from a night of lively birthday celebrations to find he’s not alone. To his shock, finding a dead body next to him, which then leads to the Musketeer being wrongly sentenced to death.

Before this can take place though, Porthos gets abducted and taken back to the dangerous slums where her grew up, the Court of Miracles.

In the meantime, it’s up to the remaining Musketeers to rescue their friend and clear his name. Things however turn out to be more complicated than expected, as Athos, Aramis and D’Artagnan put their lives at risk to infiltrate the Court of Miracles.

Following a week off for The British Academy Film Awards on the 16th of February, The Musketeers continues Sunday nights at 9:00pm on BBC One, with catch-up available via BBC iPlayer.
