Where are the Strictly Come Dancing live shows broadcast from?
Following the closure of BBC Television Centre in 2013, Strictly’s cameras have now moved location to Elstree Film and Television Studios in Hertfordshire, England.
The Saturday and Sunday night live shows will now be taking place on the buildings famous George Lucas stage.
In addition to SCD, Elstree is currently home to such popular TV shows as Dancing on Ice, The Voice UK, Tumble, The Singer Takes It All, EastEnders, The Chase, Pointless and Big Brother.
Along with the BBC shooting Strictly at Elstree Studios, one night a year now see’s a special live episode being broadcast from the famous Ballroom at Blackpool Tower.
For series 12 in 2014, the cast and crew head north to perform the Blackpool special on Saturday the 15th of November. As with 2013, the timing coincides with the weekend of Children in Need, which this time comes from Elstree on Friday, 14 November.
