After much build up and anticipation, the X Factor Series 10 start date has finally been announced as Saturday, 31 August, 2013.
In a change to previous years the new series will now air every Saturday and Sunday night right from the start, making ITV a full on X Factor zone every weekend.
In another change, the tenth series will also be going old school with the return of the ‘closed auditions’. In other words, the first round auditions will now be held in a smaller, more private room instead of the arena style that has featured in recent years. We assume this also means the contestants will once again be singing acapella with no backing track to help then out.
The main ITV show will be hosted by the long serving Dermot O’Leary while Caroline Flack is now joined by comedian Matt Richardson over on ITV2’s Xtra Factor. Meanwhile Louis, Gary, Nicole and Sharon will make up your 2013 judges.
So with everything else in place, all we need now are some decent singers.
