Where was Baptiste filmed? – BBC Filming Locations

Where was the TV series Baptiste filmed for BBC One?

This spin-off to BBC1’s hit drama The Missing, which begins airing at 9:00pm on Sunday 17 February, 2019, was largely filmed around the backstreets and canals of the Netherlands’ capital city, Amsterdam.

Other Baptiste BBC filming locations include the beach in the English village of Kingsdown, Kent, as well as the Belgium port cities of Ghent and Antwerp.

Starring French actor Tchéky Karyo as the title character, Baptiste is effectively a sequel to BBC One’s drama The Missing, this time seeing Tchéky joined in the cast list by English actor Tom Hollander, who plays Edward Stratton, the uncle of the missing girl. Hollander has previously starred in other such BBC series as The Night Manager and Rev. Also starring in Baptiste is former Call The Midewide actress Jessica Raine.

Filming in The Netherlands and Belgium, Baptiste continues the European theme of The Missing, which had season 1 set mostly in France and season 2 in Germany.
