How many episodes of Baptiste on BBC One are there?

How many episodes will there be in the first season of BBC One’s Baptiste?

BBC1’s new crime drama Baptiste is a six-part series, with episode number 1 of 6 airing on Sunday 17 February at 9:00pm and catch-up available online via BBC iPlayer.

The show follows French detective Julien Baptiste, a character played by actor Tchéky Karyo that first appeared in season 1 and 2 of The Missing, now returning in the titular role of this new prime time drama for BBC One.

The plot sees Julien being asked to help find a missing girl called Natalie, who’s the niece of Englishman Edward Stratton, played by Tom Hollander. The pair team up to try to discover what has happened to Natalie in a world where not all is as it seems and the truth is difficult to separate from the lies. The cast also includes actress Jessica Raine playing the role of Europol officer Genevieve Taylor.

At the time of writing this, just before episode 1 is scheduled to air here in the UK, we’re not currently aware if there will be a Baptiste season 2 commissioned.
