Where’s Blandings Castle, where they film the BBC TV series?

The BBC period comedy-drama Blandings is filmed at Crom Castle on the shores of the Upper Lough Erne in Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Rather than Clarence and the crew, in the real world the building is actually home to the Earl of Erne.

Built in 1820, this magnificent piece of architecture is not to be confused with the much older Crom Castle, which is now merely ruins.

This filming location was used for both series 1 and 2 of the show, with the second season being filmed there during November, 2013.

Currently airing Sunday evenings on BBC One, the seven-part second series of Blandings returned to our television screens in February, 2014.
