Britain’s Got Talent 2014: Auditions Get Underway in Cardiff

Today saw the first date of the Britain’s Got Talent 2014 auditions, which were held at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.

These series eight first round auditions which have already drawn in hundreds of wannabes from all over Wales, are taking place over both Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of October.

Optimism among today’s crowds was high that South Wales had more than enough talents to produce the next big star. It was of course at the nearby Wales Millennium Centre where BGT’s series 1 winner Paul Potts was first discovered by the shows judges, way back in 2007.

From here the Britain’s Got Talent auditions move onto the ICC in Birmingham on the dates of Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October, 2013.

It appears Simon Cowell and the ITV producers are making every effort possible this year to track down the best acts possible. Along with fellow judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, Cowell will be holding auditions in Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast, London and Edinburgh.

So don’t worry if your looking to take part but have missed out on Cardiff and Birmingham, at this moment there’s still time to apply for the remaining venues. According to the ITV advert, the official closing date for applications is 10 February, 2013.
