The BGT semi-finals traditionally begin airing on the second bank holiday Monday in May, continuing then through the week, building up to the live grand-final on the Saturday night. However, last years final took place a week later on the following Saturday.

Sticking with the usual scheduling format, the Britain’s Got Talent series 8 live shows will start on the Spring bank holiday of Monday, 26 May, 2014 at 7:30pm on ITV. Featuring 45 different acts, there will be five semi-final nights, broadcasting on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday of that week.

All five acts have already booked their places in the semi-finalists lineup, where they’ll compete with the other performers for public votes and a place in the live final.
