With it now being a good few weeks since singer Christina Marie’s blind audition, where she impressed The Voice UK coaches with her performance of Whitney Houston’s ’I Have Nothing’, you could be forgiven for not remembering the 20-year-old.

However, at the end of tonight’s Battle Rounds episode the Team Ricky member put herself well in the running for the 2014 title.

While singing ‘The Power of Love’ against Nathan Amzi, the Bristolian displayed the type of vocal power and tone needed to make herself a true contender in this years series.

This performance saw the Katy Perry look-a-like (ish) win the battle and her place in the Knock Out’s, where only the top 3 acts from each team will go through to the live shows.

Here’s the video of The Voice UK 2014 Battle Round contest between Christina Marie and Nathan Amzi:

The Battles continue next Saturday night on BBC One, with catch-up on iPlayer.
