When does the new 2014 series of Gogglebox start on Channel 4?

The air date for series 4 of Gogglebox (that’s the second series of 2014) has today been officially set for 9:00pm on Friday 26 September. Viewers will again be treated to a large helping of 12 60-minute episodes, taking us right through to Christmas.

Fans can look forward to the return of some familiar faces, including Brixton’s Sandy and Sandra, Liverpool’s June and Leon, plus everybody’s favourite Kent posh couple, Dominic and Stephanie Parker.

One family we won’t see back for series 4 though are the Gilbey’s. Seemingly due to son George’s appearance on Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother, neither he, mum Linda or stepdad Pete will be coming back. This of course unfortunately means no more hilariously confused or mixed-up comments from Linda.

Though there have so far been no official announcements regarding the addition of any new families to the Gogglebox cast, with no new households added during series 3 and the Gilbey’s no leaving, don’t be surprised to see one or two new signings in the coming weeks.

Gogglebox series 3 finished on the high of winning the best reality and constructed factual award at the 2014 BAFTA’s.
