The BBC have now confirmed the start date for the new series of Inspector George Gently, with season 6 premiering on Thursday, 6 February, 2014.
Episode 1 which is titled ‘Gently Between The Lines’, will be broadcast from 8:30pm to 10:00pm on BBC One.
Set in 1969, the new series follows on six months after the Durham Cathedral shootings, with Inspector Gently (Martin Shaw, pictured above) now pretty much recovered from his injuries. While Detective Sergeant John Bacchus (Lee Ingleby, pictured below) has been recuperating at a police convalescent home.
