Filming

After being re-commissioned for BBC One in December 2013, filming for season 3 of Last Tango in Halifax began in July 2014, taking place at a number of locations across the north of England.

When does Last Tango in Halifax start again in 2014 or 2015?

The BBC have now officially set the Last Tango In Halifax series 3 air date and time for Sunday 28 December 2014 at 9:00pm on BBC1. Taking us into January 2015, the new season will run for six 1-hour episodes. As always, catch-up will be available online via BBC iPlayer.

Episode 1 Plot – SPOILER ALERT!

The new series starts on Valentine’s Day with Gillian on a date with a Halifax gentleman by the name of Gary. But as the night progresses, things turn out not to be quite as they appear when it comes to Gillian’s charming new man.

Celia and Alan consider taking a honeymoon trip to New Zealand to see Alan’s brother Ted. However, the pairs happiness and plans are cut short with the appearance of someone from Alan’s past.

In a happier turn of events, Caroline proposes to a heavily pregnant Kate. Though Celia first appears pleased for the two of them, she’s unable to resist pointing out that their child will be growing up without a father. Meanwhile an upset John arrives at Caroline’s house after Judith suffers a miscarriage.
