Where was Mountain Goats filmed?
The series used filming locations in Glencoe, in the Highlands of Scotland. According to an interview with actor Jimmy Chisholm in the Evening Times, the ‘Old Goat’ featured in the show is not actually a real pub. In reality this building is just a traditional whitewashed cottage made to look like a public house.

Apparently the production team may have done too good a job in disguising the house, with passers by regularly stopping by in search of a nice pub lunch.

When does Mountain Goats start on BBC1 and how many episodes will there be?
In most BBC regions Mountain Goats will premiere just after the news at 10:35pm on Friday the 14th of August, 2015. The number of episodes in this first series will be six, each lasting for 30 minutes.
If the programmes characters and plot look a bit familiar to you, that’s probably because Mountain Goats is based on the one-off 2014 Comedy Playhouse sitcom ‘Miller’s Mountain’. Other than the odd change of cast member and its new title, Miller’s Mountain effectively acted as a pilot episode for this 2015 series.
