Monday, 4 November, 2013 see’s the return of Gareth Malone to the BBC, with series 2 of The Choir: Sing While You Work.

Once again, Britain’s favorite choirmaster will tune-up various groups of work colleges, in his search to discover our countries best workplace choir. Over the course of this new 8-part series, Gareth will coach freshly assembled groups from five different companies, transforming them from nervous amateurs into professional sounding, polished choirs.

In episode 1, Malone takes to the waves as he begins working his magic on cross-Channel ferry company, P&O. With members spread out on both sides of the English Channel, Gareth will face additional challenges in maximizing their performance potential.

Each 1 hour episode will air Monday nights at 9:00 PM on BBC Two and BBC Two HD.

Mr Malone has certainly been busy this year. In addition to recording series 2 of Sing While You Work for BBC2, the 37 year-old has also been in America creating the US version of The Choir. Entitled ‘It Takes A Choir’, the series which follows the same basic format as the British version, also premieres in early November. This time on American channel, USA Network. All this it would appear, while growing a beard.
