The premiere date and time for the new series of The Village has now been officially set, with episode 1 airing at 9:00pm on Sunday, 10 August, 2014.
Now set in the 1920’s, series 2 of The Village continues BBC One and writer Peter Moffat’s desire to tell the story of the 20th century, from the point of view of the residents of a small Peak District village.

The new series see’s life move into the decade of the roaring twenties and with it, the age of jazz. As outsiders start bringing in new styles of music and dance, residents also get introduced to new ways of thinking when it comes to love, sex and politics.
