When does The Voice UK 2014 start?

Question: When does the new series 3 of The Voice UK begin on the BBC in 2014?

Answer: As earlier predicted by TellyChat, The Voice UK 2014’s start date has been scheduled for Saturday, 11 January, 2014, with the show starting at 7:00pm on BBC One. Episode 1 will run for a total of 90 uninterrupted minutes.

The timing will no doubt come as good news for reality TV fans and those suffering from X Factor withdrawal symptoms. The new scheduling means there will now be little over a month gap between the finish of X Factor 2013 on ITV and the premiere of The Voice 2014 on BBC.

With the blind auditions set to begin broadcasting in mid-January, the live Saturday night shows should then hit screens around March time.

It’s believed the BBC have chosen to premiere the show earlier in the year to help boost its struggling ratings. Producers hope to achieve this by avoiding clashes with ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent and their own coverage of The Eurovision Song Contest which takes place in early May.

In a fresh look for The Voice UK, the new series will be hosted by the combination of BB’s Emma Willis and JLS’s Marvin Humes.

With Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue now taking a break to focus on their own careers, this years big red chairs will be filled by Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, and new coaches Ricky Wilson and Kylie Minogue.
